Case Studies

  • An Oakland-based aerial photography firm was facing large layoffs and constant downtime with their business-critical software application. They had an IT manager who, after combining salary, benefits, vacation, and employee taxes, cost the company nearly $150,000 per year. With an assistant costing nearly $40,000, the company was in trouble. We were able to take over their IT support infrastructure, fix the ongoing problems, and help them consolidate hardware, software, and management tasks. After the transition period their annual IT management costs, with almost zero downtime, totaled less than $35,000. For the cost of one full-time assistant we saved them enough money and time to keep three employees who would have otherwise been laid off.

  • A multinational analyst firm was opening their first Bay Area location in San Mateo. With three weeks before they were to open their doors, they had done little preparation save signing the lease on the office building. Contacting us, we were able to move heaven and earth to ensure they had more than 40 workstations, fully-configured, a server that could host their email and replicate data across the globe, desks and cubicles, 45 phone lines, and an internet connection that included strong SLAs. They had been told that the internet alone would take 4-6 weeks with the server taking another 3. Because of our experience and vendor connections, we guaranteed that they opened their doors on-time and on-budget.
